I relocated to Los Angeles a year ago in and wanted to purchase a home here. My goal was to find something within a year. Six months ago, my wife and I were somewhat hesitant about entering the real estate market, as it seemed to be extremely fast-moving and intimidating. I discussed this with one of my friends, who referred me to his agent, Kamran Yasnafar, who had recently sold my friend's condo and helped him buy his home. My friend insisted that if we wanted to purchase property in this market, we needed a knowledgeable agent with tenacity, intelligence, and intuition - in short, an agent like Kamran. So, I called him, and now six months later I'm sitting here in our new home in a beautiful neighborhood where my wife and I never dreamed we could live, writing this letter and watching our dog play in the yard through my office window!

The first unique quality I noticed in Kamran was his conscientiousness. Before we even began looking, he really took the time to understand our needs and wants, and once those were known, he never deviated from our vision. We had a fairly tall order too - a historic but move-in ready 3 bed / 2 bath craftsman or bungalow style house in Los Angeles with a fenced-in yard and 2-car garage. Basically we wanted urban life with suburban amenities, which is not necessarily an easy find in this area. Nonetheless, Kamran never expressed any doubt that he would find us the perfect house, nor did he waste our time taking us to view inappropriate properties on endless Saturday afternoons.

We spent the next few months looking and found several properties on which we made offers. Not every offer works out, obviously, and Kamran helped us through some of the disappointing times, always confidently assuring us that he will find us a house that we will love, and it would likely be even better than the ones we didn't get. He was always patient and never pressured us. In fact, at every property we viewed he asked us a simple question after the tour: "Do you love this house?" If we didn't, he simply said, "Ok, let's move on then."

Then on one rainy Saturday afternoon, Kamran met us at the property that would eventually become our new home, as it had just been listed the day before and looked promising. My wife and I fell in love with this house immediately. It was a charming, well-maintained Spanish style bungalow, built in 1938 - 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, fenced in yard, 2-car garage, remodeled bathrooms and kitchen, and even a beautifully laid out back patio featuring a jacuzzi, fire pit, and custom built-in patio furniture. Not to mention, this gem was hidden away in the peaceful, desirable neighborhood. There was obviously already a lot of interest in this house, as several agents and prospective buyers toured the property during the short time we were there. At the end of the tour, my wife and I told Kamran, "This is the one. Please get it for us." Kamran said, quite simply, "I will."

The sellers chose our offer out of what was likely a pile of other offers, and we entered escrow. Because of Kamran's efficiency in working with us, the listing agent, our loan officer, the appraiser, the inspector, etc., we closed almost a week early. Now, we are moved in and could not possibly be happier! Everyday we look forward to driving up to our beautiful new home, which we will love for many years to come.

I do not think we could have purchased our home without Kamran's representation, and even if we had, it would not have been as positive of an experience.

In short, I strongly recommend Kamran Yasnafar to anyone preparing to buy or sell real estate.
